Our History
Founded by Dr. Noel J. Stowe in 1983, the CCHA promotes a greater awareness and appreciation of history in Arizona and the Southwest.
Our Mission
We foster communication among historians and the community at large, advocate for the protection and use of historical resources, advance the teaching of history in schools, and support career development for those working in Arizona's history field.
Our Board of Directors
The CCHA Board of Directors consists of a President, Two Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, and Five Members at Large.
Stuart Rosebrook has over 30 years of professional experience in journalism, publishing, public history, television production, and non-profit management. He is currently the editor of True West magazine. He is also owner of his own business, Quo Vadis Communications, LLC. He is a professional historian of the American West, 20th-century American history, and public history. Rosebrook is a published author and accomplished public speaker. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and a B.A. in History from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is a member of CCHA, Western Writers of America, Western History Association, National Council on Public History, Wild West History Association, Arizona Historical Society, and the Author's Guild. He is married to Julie E. Rosebrook, Ph.D., a psychologist with the Veteran’s Administration. They live in Prescott and are the parents of two children.

Vincent Murray is an architectural historian/public historian with Arizona Historical Research in Phoenix, Arizona. He holds an B.A. degree in History with a minor in Anthropology and an M.A. in Public History from Arizona State University, and possesses almost two decades of practical experience.
Jane Cadwalader works as a Reference Archivist at the Arizona State Archives in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her Master of Archives and Records Management (International Pathway) at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom in 2018.
