Deadline: TBA
The Coordinating Committee for History in Arizona (CCHA) is an Arizona non-profit dedicated to promoting greater awareness of and appreciation for history in Arizona and the Southwest. Public history—that is, history “beyond the walls of the traditional classroom” —plays an important role in civic life. In the interest of fostering communication among historians and the awareness and appreciation for history among the community at large, the CCHA announces the annual Noel J. Stowe Memorial Grant competition.
The CCHA seeks proposals for project funding, up to $500.00. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of their public impact, especially for the public history community, broadly conceived.
In an application of four double-spaced pages or less, please describe your proposed project, how the funds would be used, expected public impact, timeline for completion, and any other detailed evidence that will help the grant committee evaluate the project’s merits and likelihood of successful completion. Please also attach a resume, curriculum vitae, or description of qualifications (not to exceed three pages) for each named participant, including contact information. Complete applications should be submitted in PDF or Word format, and should be emailed to stowememorialgrant@cchaz.org. The grant award will be announced at the Arizona History Convention, which will be held in April 2023.
Questions about the Stowe Memorial Grant Program can be directed to stowememorialgrant@cchaz.org.
